MANILA, Philippines - With the recent developments in the country pertaining to the COVID-19 situation and the corresponding community quarantines to be implemented, the National Golf Association of the Philippines issued this advisory yesterday, the 30th of July 2021. It reads:

RE: UPDATED QUARANTINE CLASSIFICATIONS
Dear everyone,
Following the latest resolution from the IATF (No. 130-A dated July 29, 2021) which noted the detection of rising cases of COVID-19 variants in the country, NCR Plus has been placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions until August 5, 2021, after which NCR shall be under the stricter Enhanced Community Quarantine from August 6 to 20, 2021.
The National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) therefore reminds all golf clubs located in the NCR Plus to comply strictly with the heightened GCQ restrictions. All minors (below 18 years old) are prohibited from entering the golf courses unless they are certified by NGAP for national training purposes. For NCR clubs with restaurant establishments, kindly note that indoor and outdoor dining shall not be allowed; only take-out services may be provided, subject to mandated safety guidelines. Clubs outside of NCR under GCQ with heightened restrictions may operate indoor dining at 20% capacity and outdoor dining at 50% capacity.
As stated in DTI Memorandum Circular No. 21-28, golf may be allowed in areas under Modified ECQ, and only at 50% capacity. Minors shall not be allowed unless certified by NGAP. When NCR is placed under ECQ on August 6 to 20, 2021, all golf courses within must be closed.
While saddened by these developments, NGAP has noted our health authorities' warning that the new COVID-19 variants are more transmissible than the original virus. Let us therefore take these restrictions seriously and do our part to keep ourselves and everyone else safe.
